Candidate Statement
Hello ASLO! I am a limnologist running for Treasurer to serve my scientific home, a society I love and appreciate for all it has done for me. As director of a field station and of a large research and outreach program, I have acquired the administrative skills that are critical for a competent and transparent stewardship of ASLO’s finances. I share the concerns of members on the rising costs of meetings and the importance of supporting early career and diverse scientists. These are areas where ASLO has made great progress, but it is now more important than ever that we continue to lead when others are turning away. It would be an honor to represent all ASLO members as your next Treasurer.
