Webinar on Effective Peer Review

Webinar on Effective Peer Review

On September 21, 2021, ASLO presented a special webinar entitled, “Your Roadmap to Effective and Efficient Peer Review: A Webinar with ASLO Editors”.  The webinar was hosted by the Raelyn Cole Editorial Fellows in collaboration with our partners at Wiley.

Scholarly peer review is an essential part of the scientific process, yet many early career researchers enter the role of referee without prior training. This virtual event will present strategies for conducting effective and time-efficient review, including tips and tricks from editors of the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) journals and a Q&A session with ASLO editors-in-chief. The event placed special emphasis on questions from students and early career researchers, but was open to all ASLO members and the wider research community.

Panelists:

Rosie Gradoville, ASLO Raelyn Cole Editorial Fellow (Host)

Bridget Deemer, ASLO Raelyn Cole Editorial Fellow (Co-host)

Dave Hambright, Editor-in-Chief, Limnology and Oceanography

Julia Mullarney, Deputy Editor, Limnology and Oceanography

Paul Kemp, Editor-in-Chief, L&O Methods

Jim Cloern, Editor-in-Chief, L&O Letters

Chris Filstrup, Editor-in-Chief, L&O Bulletin
