Payment Information and Options
ASLO accepts several methods of payment detailed below. Online forms accept credit cards but also allows you to pay later by check or wire transfer. Please follow the instructions below and read the brief FAQ on common payment issues below. Payments are made in U.S. Dollars.
Note that the United States, where ASLO collects fees, does not participate in IBAN.
Invoicing
Every transaction made via the ASLO web site creates an invoice. You may pay by credit card at checkout or choose to pay later by check or wire transfer. All invoices are due within 30 days from date billed. A paid invoice will be sent to you via email when a successful payment is made.
Deferring Your Payment
You may defer your payment by using the “Pay by Check” feature at checkout. You may then log back into your ASLO profile and complete your payment by credit card, or send a check by mail, or arrange a wire transfer (see below).
Credit Cards
ASLO accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Common reasons for declined credit card transactions:
- Your profile address does not match that of the billing address for the credit card. Check that your ASLO address matches your credit card's billing address.
- Your university or organization credit card requires pre-approval or has a specific list of approved business types for purchases. Check with your organization.
If you accidentally charged a transaction on your personal credit card instead of a university/organization card. Send an email to customer.service@aslo.org with details of the situation.

Wire Transfers
ASLO offers the ability to pay by wire transfer for all members both within the United Sates and without.

VAT Identification Number
- ASLO is incorporated in the United States and therefore does not collect VAT.
- If you need your organization's VAT number on the invoice, be sure to include it in your address profile.
