Memberships run for the calendar year and expire on December 31. Renewal notices typically are emailed in November, and a renewal advisory notice will be displayed in your Member Profile while renewals are open. To renew, start at your Member Profile.
Start at Create An Account, after which you will have the opportunity to purchase an individual membership and an optional personal subscription to the ASLO publications. The cost of a personal subscription varies with the membership category. Membership cost is reduced for students, and for early career, emeritus, and developing nations professionals.
Members receive a host of benefits including a free personal subscription to the L&O Bulletin, reduced publication costs in all of ASLO’s publications, and reduced meeting registration fees. The discounts are greater than the cost of membership!
Individuals who join in October - December will receive a courtesy membership to the end of the current year, as well as membership for the following full calendar year.

Student Membership refers to all students enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate programs.
Scientists from Emerging Countries
In an effort to increase membership and participation of aquatic scientists from developing nations, ASLO offers reduced membership and meeting registration fees for scientists and students from 152 developing nations as defined by the International Statistical Institute.
