Are you an early career researcher in aquatic science looking to make an impact, expand your network, and contribute to the global community? Nominate yourself to join the Early Career Committee (ECC) of the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) and help shape the future of aquatic science!
The ECC plays a key role in supporting early career researchers (ECRs) by developing initiatives that foster professional growth, networking, visibility, and inclusion. Members help organize year-round webinars, workshops, networking events, and in-person activities at major ASLO meetings, ensuring that early career perspectives are represented and supported worldwide.
Role & Commitment
ECC members collaborate to plan, lead, and support programs and activities, contributing to a vibrant, connected, and inclusive community. Members are expected to be actively engaged in aquatic science through research, policy, or education and to represent the early career community with integrity, dedication, and commitment.
Active participation includes monthly virtual meetings and involvement in ECC initiatives throughout the year. Members also have opportunities for leadership roles, mentoring, and strategic involvement within the committee.
