2022 OCEAN SCIENCES MEETING
27 February – 4 March 2022
Hawaiʻi Convention Center
Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, USA
Come Together and Connect
Pilina means connection, relationship, and association and is an important value in Hawai'ian culture that encourages inclusivity and collaborations to achieve results that cannot be accomplished with one person alone. The 2022 OSM focuses on the importance of strong pilina for the ocean science community. By coming together, we can forge a path toward a sustainable future.
Be a part of this special meeting that will set standards for future OSM events.
Balance is a Key
This year’s theme emphasizes the importance of working together.
As an international association, meeting location is a question of proximity – a number of participants always have long distances to travel. Hawaiʻi provides special ecosystems for study and travel convenience for those in Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Rim. The Organizing Committee is working on ways to reduce the carbon footprint and address COVID-19.
Balance is a key to OSM 2022 – meeting formats, personal connections, environmental impacts, and other current concerns.
About the Meeting
Co-sponsored by the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), the American Geophysical Union (AGU), and The Oceanography Society (TOS), Ocean Sciences Meeting (OSM) is the leader in ocean sciences conferences. We work to create an environment that saves resources, provides networking opportunities, and most of all, addresses emerging topics in aquatic sciences.
The tradition of outstanding presentations, both plenary speakers and in sessions, will continue during OSM 2022.
