Join us for an informal social and networking event for researchers, community partners, students, administrators, and everyone interested in building better, meaningful partnerships for a sustainable ocean with Indigenous communities. SE03 SciComm Social Hour

Date and Time: 3/1/2022, 8:00PM to 9:00PM
Location: Room 02

To complement the formal training and workshops that will take place in person in Hawaii, we propose an informal meet-up with our team and sci comm experts in Hawaii. The social hour will be open to any OSM participant, but will specifically target early-career researchers. We will identify two attendees who are experts in science communication fields, either that are OSM attendees or based in Hawaii, to attend our social hour. Aiding the two experts are: our Hollywood Communications expert, Brian Palermo; Brittany Schieler, ASLO Communications and Program Manager; and Jonathan Sharp, Emeritus Oceanography Professor, University of Delaware.
