General Sponsorships
We hope you will support the 2022 Ocean Sciences Meeting by becoming a general sponsor - $1,000 for commercial and $500 for government or education organizations. Your organization’s name and logo with a link to your website will appear on the OSM website.

Available for the fee of $1,000 each event. The following events are available for sponsorship:
- Rising, an audio-visual interchange with oceans
Sponsorship of this unique sculptural presentation will provide a one-of-a-kind experience during OSM 2022. This is a special production connecting several videos that speak to different themes. Centered around the concept of Earth’s oceans, OSM 2022 participants may choose to engage in one or all videos. Themes include connecting sound and music, as well as the reality of people living with the consequences of changing shorelines. This virtual presentation, available throughout OSM 2022, is designed to immerse audiences in a multi-sensory experience to provoke awareness of sea level rise and ocean health.This sponsorship provides a prime opportunity to put your logo and message in front of a unique display. - Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI)
Sponsor one, or all three (each $1,000). JEDI is an important topic in the scientific community. Three workshop opportunities are available for sponsorship during OSM 2022. - Establishing a Space for Women of Color in Ocean Sciences (Sponsored)
This Women of Color (WOC) virtual workshop will cover solutions-oriented, hands-on training. It encompasses ways to create inclusive and equitable environments that welcome diverse perspectives for the future of ocean sciences. - Rainbow Reception (Sponsored)
This informal social event is an opportunity to share conversations with fellow LGBTQIA+ ocean scientists and engineers. Building on the initial reception that was held during OSM 2020, the 2022 gathering is an opportunity to continue momentum. - Meet the Plenary Speakers
Sponsor one, or all four (each $1,000). This program provides the unique opportunity for a select number of students to meet with the four OSM 2022 plenary speakers. Monday’s meeting will be with Tommy Esang Remengesau, Jr., Past President of the Republic of Palau and OSM 2022 opening speaker. All other meetings will be on the day of the speaker’s plenary. Your organization or company will have the opportunity to impact the studies and career direction by making these meetings possible. - Meet the Agency Events
Events will be scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Sponsor one, or all three (each $1,000).Support students and early career professionals and provide an opportunity for members to meet with leaders from various government agencies. These are excellent occasions to learn about the latest news and developments of ocean sciences. - Mid-Week Career Workshops
Sponsor one, or all three (each $1,000). These workshops feature panel discussions and are designed for students and early career professionals to learn about careers outside academia. Three events are planned – Tuesday, March 1st at 1330-1430, Wednesday, March 2nd at 2000-2200, and Thursday, March 3rd at 1330-1430. - Student and Early Career Center (Sponsored)
Exclusive Opportunity! Open to students and early career scientists, the Student and Early Career Center is a great place to network with peers and learn about different career opportunities. - Student Pacific Islander Networking
OSM 2022 is working with the University of Hawaii SOEST Maile Mentoring Bridge Program to provide opportunities for local students to network with scientists outside of Hawai’i. The goal of this event is to facilitate professional connections between established career scientists and marginalized early career scientists. Senior scientists will meet with student Pacific Islanders – both undergraduate and post-baccalaureate. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 1st from 1245-1345.Providing this important resource gives a sponsor excellent visibility and support of future aquatic scientists. - Music Bingo Night
This fun activity is designed for students and early career participants to unwind after a day of talks and posters. Combining some music trivia and a little luck, this involves identifying a song, marking it down on the board – and lots of crossed fingers. - Trivia Night
This is a fun virtual trivia night (or afternoon/morning depending on your time zone) for all who wish to participate. General trivia will be the arena, which means no marine science in sight! The questions will also be friendly to an international audience, sorry no categories about American television, states, history, etc.
