Conveniently located in the Convention Center District of Isla Grande, San Juan — approximately 10 miles from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) — the Puerto Rico Convention Center is the largest and most technologically advanced convention facility in the Caribbean. With 600,000 square feet of total space, the PRCC can accommodate groups of up to 10,000 delegates in world-class surroundings. The facility features a 152,700-square-foot Exhibition Hall, a 39,500-square-foot Grand Ballroom (the largest in the region), 15 meeting rooms divisible into 29 breakout spaces, and a 12,800-square-foot outdoor terrace with views of San Juan Bay. The center's iconic wave-shaped roof, inspired by the ocean, sets it apart as one of the most architecturally distinctive venues in the Americas. On-site services include an award-winning food and beverage team, a full-service business center, dedicated event staff, broadband and wireless connectivity (500 Mbps) with video-conferencing capabilities, simultaneous language translation, and closed-circuit security systems.
The PRCC anchors the fast-growing Convention Center District, placing hotels, restaurants, and entertainment within easy walking distance. Just steps away is Distrito T-Mobile, an entertainment hub featuring over a dozen dining options, the 6,000-seat Coca-Cola Music Hall, an urban park, outdoor stages, and a zipline adventure.
Dining at the Convention Center
The Puerto Rico Convention Center's in-house food and beverage team provides full catering services throughout the facility for events of all sizes. Beyond the convention center itself, the adjacent Convention Center District offers extensive dining options within easy walking distance. Distrito T-Mobile features over a dozen restaurants and bars — including Barullo, Lupe Reyes, and La Central by Mario Pagan — serving everything from local Puerto Rican cuisine to international fare. The neighboring Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino also offers multiple on-site dining outlets, including Texas de Brazil, Choices Urban Bistro, and Metropol.
Parking
The Puerto Rico Convention Center has two large adjacent parking lots with a combined capacity of approximately 2,215 vehicles. The structures are covered by a solar panel array, providing both shade for vehicles and clean energy for the facility. Self-parking for events typically ranges from $7–$10, with valet parking also available.
Sustainability Efforts
The Puerto Rico Convention Center is one of the most sustainable meeting facilities in the Americas. Its centerpiece initiative is a 5-megawatt solar array of approximately 20,000 panels installed across the parking structures and building roof, capable of powering the entire facility off the grid on sunny days and selling surplus energy back to the grid. The PRCC has been recognized with the Stella Award for Best Convention Center (International & U.S. Territories) and operates under ASM Global's sustainability framework, which encompasses energy conservation, waste reduction, and environmentally responsible procurement. The adjacent Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino is the world's first LEED-certified Sheraton property, further reflecting the Convention Center District's commitment to responsible operations.
