Celebrate ASLO 2023, visit with friends, and experience beautiful Palma de Mallorca after the opening plenary on Sunday evening!  Have a drink and enjoy festive and delicious tapas, immersing yourself in the Spanish cuisine.  Complimentary finger food is included in the registration fee and a cash bar is available for beverages.   The reception immediately follows the opening plenary session.  Be sure to pick up your registration badge and ticket for a free beverage (beer, wine or soft drink).  This ticket is only good for the opening reception.

SP02 ASLO 2023 Closing Party, "Tardeo"!

Life is More Fun with a Celebration: ASM 2023 Closing Party, "Tardeo"!  After so much hard work and preparations for both the organizers and participants, we all deserve a party to wrap up an eventful week. We invite you to join our closing party “tardeo” on the last day of the congress on the rooftop of the Congress Center overlooking the Bay of Palma. “Tardeo” is a new Spanish concept of leisure and partying starting in the afternoon and ending early evening, which is becoming increasingly popular in the country in recent years. We can enjoy the amazing sunset in a privileged location before we say our goodbyes. Please bring your dancing shoes as we will have a disco DJ!  The winner of the various local contests will be awarded during the party. Complimentary finger food is included in the registration fee, and a cash bar service is available for drinks. Don´t miss out, this is guaranteed fun and a memorable way to celebrate the sure success of ASM 2023 and can still be fit the following morning!

SP03A Pub Quiz in Palma!

The Pub quiz was originally established in the UK to attract people to get into their pubs and we will adapt it to the ASM 2023 to enjoy a bit of aquatic science, general knowledge, and the good company of ASLO colleagues worldwide. There will be a maximum number of participants of 30. The quiz will have two parts. First, an elimination round of 15 questions focusing on Mallorca and Science. Then, a grand final with the 5 participants obtained the highest score. The format of the final will be ‘a surprise’ so do not miss it. The winner will receive a modest set of Balearic Islands products as a prize.  Attendance is limited and you must be registered with a confirmed acceptance to attend.
