At The Convention Centre

The Palma Convention Centre was built to provide Palma with a large multifunctional space that could host major conferences and congresses as well as cultural events such as concerts or exhibitions. Thanks to cooperation between the Balearic Islands Government, Palma City Council, and Meliá Hotels International, the doors to the Palma Convention Centre were opened to the public in April 2017.

Francisco Mangado, the chief architect for the project, managed to take full advantage of all of the attractions offered by Palma. Inspired by the Mediterranean waves, the gleaming sunlight, and sandy beaches, Mangado has created a space that is a flagship for sustainability. Marés sandstone, typical of the Balearic Islands, padouk wood, and aluminum combines in the unique design of a building that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.
