Meeting Registration

Registration for the meeting and payment of the appropriate abstract submission fee is required before submitting your abstract. This includes speakers who have been contacted by session organizers and “invited” to present in a scientific or education session.

There will be no virtual program.

Registration Information

Registration fees must be paid in U.S. dollars (USD) and drawn from a U.S. bank. Credit card fees will appear as a charge on your credit card statement to ASLO.

Online registration is preferred and highly recommended. Electronic registrations must include complete credit card information. VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted. Registration will be confirmed via e-mail once payment is received.

All participants and exhibitors must agree to the Code of Conduct and Waiver of Liability when registering.

Registration Fees

The full in-person registration fee includes admission to all sessions, exhibits, town hall meetings and workshops, auxiliary meetings (unless by invitation only or otherwise specified), mixers, and the online program. Optional events such as specially organized activities may not be included.

Fees to attend the meeting should be paid in advance. Registrations are not considered final until a check, money order, purchase order, or charge card information is received. Organizations can be billed only if a purchase order accompanies the registration electronically or by mail. Contact [email protected] if you need to make alternative arrangements.

1Those registering under the developing country rates will be subject to verifying their current country of residence. This rate is only available to participants currently living and working in low- or lower-middle-income economies as defined by the International Statistical Institute.

2Guest Fees cover only the conference social events such as the opening reception, the Wednesday Party, and the closing reception in addition to the coffee services and the poster receptions. Optional events such as any special activities are not included. The guest/spouse fee does not include admission to the plenary or concurrent sessions.

3One-day registrations are not eligible for abstract submission and can only be purchased singly.

Deferring Your Registration Fee

Government and other agencies may defer the registration and abstract fees for budgetary circumstances.  Defer the registration fee by using the "Pay Later" option at checkout. Deferred registration fees must be paid on or before 7 May 2024. Unpaid deferments will result in the cancellation of registrations and withdrawals of presentations.

Substitutions and Cancellations

We understand that occasionally other responsibilities and personal obligations prevent you from attending. If you find that you will not be able to attend the meeting, we encourage you to send a substitute. Substitutions can be made at any time at no additional charge.  The conference presentations will be available during and after the dates of the meeting, so please consider this before canceling.

If you find it necessary to cancel after you have already paid, we can refund your conference fee (less a $70.00 USD processing fee) if we receive notice in writing on or before 6 May 2024. Registrants who cancel on or after 6 May 2024 will not be eligible for any part of a refund. Abstract submission fees are non-refundable. (Please note that refunds only can be issued to the credit card that was used for the initial transaction.)

The conference management office must be made aware of all substitutions or registration transfers in writing; email notification is preferred.
