Health and Safety Protocols
The Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for the 2024 Summer Meeting attendees and staff. Since keeping people safe and healthy is a shared responsibility by everyone from attendees to exhibitors to reporters to staff, ASLO will comply with all applicable requirements from federal, state, and local health authorities. ASLO will continue to monitor health and safety issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic and follow CDC guidelines as they are released.
ASLO strongly encourages all attendees to be up to date on all vaccinations. ASLO will not require the validation of vaccine information via a third party. However, we will reconsider this requirement if conditions and guidance from health professionals change.
Masking requirements will be assessed near the meeting dates and masks will be available onsite for any attendee who needs them.
Program Committee organizers encourage all attendees who are feeling unwell to not attend the meeting to protect their health and the health of others.
As with the ASLO Meetings Code of Conduct, refusal to adhere to these policies and abide by these precautions may result in immediate removal from the meeting and a non-refundable cancellation of the registration.
Continue to check health and safety often for any updates to this guidance and ASLO’s COVID-19 safety procedures.
