The Society for Freshwater Science (SFS) will be sponsoring a half-day mentoring workshop through the Center for the Improvement of Mentoring Experiences in Research (CIMER) of The University of Wisconsin Madison (more on CIMER here: https://cimerproject.org). The CIMER approach to mentor training is evidence-based and interactive, and therefore designed to help mentors cultivate critical skills for developing productive, culturally responsive, and inclusive research mentoring relationships that optimize mutual success. The provided CIMER training is meant for research mentors of undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, or junior faculty working with trainees. We especially welcome participants in the early career stage.
Cost: $35. Limited to 35 participants.
