Madison and Dane County, Wisconsin

The hotels and meeting space in Madison are monitoring the current situation regarding coronavirus here and handling things accordingly. Here is the website for the county public health department’s coronavirus information: https://www.publichealthmdc.com/health-services/partners-providers/resources-by-disease/coronavirus

At the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center

Monona Terrace staff have activated a response plan to guard against the spread of various flu viruses. The facility cleaning staff are sanitizing all common touchable surfaces with a strong germicidal solution daily (FYI - the cleaning solution is top quality and kills viruses). The building is LEED-Certified Gold (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design). Every one of the sinks has an automatic faucet and foaming soap dispenser for no-touch hand washing, and automatic paper towel dispensers for no-touch hand drying. Upon request, Monona Terrace staff will add bottles of hand-sanitizer. However, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) views washing hands with soap and water as the gold standard.
