ASLO transitions to a new Business Office

ASLO transitions to a new Business Office

To all ASLO Members:

In September we announced that The Schneider Group, ASLO’s business and conference management partners since 1996, would be ceasing operations this year. At that time ASLO, with the assistance of The Schneider Group, initiated a search to identify a new association management company (AMC) to fill this important role in our organization. I can now inform you that the search process is complete, with ASLO selecting Bostrom Inc. as our new AMC. We welcome Bostrom’s Mik Bauer as ASLO’s account lead.

On March 1, ASLO will begin the process of transitioning our business operations to Bostrom. Members will not experience any disruptions to their member benefits and services and may continue to contact customer.service@aslo.org for customer service support. The Schneider Group will continue to manage the 2023 Aquatic Sciences Meeting in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. In addition, The Schneider Group’s President Helen Schneider Lemay will work with ASLO through July 2024 to aid in the transition, including serving as ASLO’s staff representative for the 2024 Ocean Sciences Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. We look forward to celebrating the many years of successful partnership with Helen and her team in Spain and also welcoming the Bostrom team at that time.

We will continue to provide updates to our members on the transition process. On behalf of the ASLO Board, staff, and members, I would like to officially welcome Bostrom to the ASLO family! Please feel free to contact me at president@aslo.org if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Pat Glibert
ASLO President (2022-2024)
