ASLO Fellows Program

ASLO Fellows Program

Members are the heart and soul of ASLO. Your great science fills the pages of our journals, which you also support with reviewing and editing. You organize and participate in sessions and workshops at our conferences. You lead our committees and represent ASLO and the aquatic sciences in education, policy, and outreach activities. Simply put, ASLO would not exist without its members!

In light of the many valuable contributions of our members, we are pleased to announce the new ASLO Fellows program. Through the program, ASLO recognizes aquatic scientists who have made exceptional contributions to the benefit of the society and its publications, meetings, and other activities. Fellows will receive a certificate and lapel pin, and a letter to their institution (if requested). Fellows will be recognized via announcement at the next ASLO Business Meeting, in the L&O Bulletin, on the ASLO website, and via their badge at future ASLO meetings. The requirements for becoming an ASLO Fellow are listed on: ASLO Fellows Nomination and Application Form.

We urge you to look around, think of your colleagues and their service and contributions to our field via ASLO, and take a few moments to forward their name via the super-easy nomination process so that a deserving person might receive some well-earned recognition. You are encouraged to apply directly so that your service can be recognized – don’t be shy! Applications and nominations are accepted continuously throughout the year.
