American undergraduate students cleaning European perch (Perca fluviatilis) gill netted in Lake Baikal near Olkhon Island in August, 2001. Fish were caught by the crew of the Professor Kozhov, a research cutter, owned by the Biological Station of Irkutsk State University, Russia. Photo taken during the Lake Baikal course (Wellesley College).
