Lais da Rims, a karst lake in the Swiss Alps

The largest lake in the Lais da Rims region near Scuol in the eastern Swiss Alps. The limestone geology allows water to seep from the lakes. This picture, taken in the fall shows that the lake had lost a large portion of its water after spring runoff had subsided.
