A method for measuring gravel alluvium hydraulic conductivity using slug test data. The pipe is screened with a hard tip and driven 50 cm into the bed. A slug (in this case a towel rapped around PVC of the same diameter) displaces all well water and a stage recorder measures water level recovery at 1 sec intervals.
