Andrew Brinker is holding an endangered sea turtle, the hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata). Behind him is Jim White, working with a turtle turned upside down to keep the turtle from injuring itself. The turtles were weighed, measured, had blood taken and tagged as part of a study directed by Dr. Andy McGowan. Dr. McGown took the picture in March 2005.
