In order to "mark" a water mass and allow the ship to follow it in the tropical northwestern Atlantic, we are deploying a drogue (triangular frame and white sails with on the right; has a large surface area) to a depth of 50 m, with a surface spar buoy equipped with a radio beacon, strobe, and radar reflector.
