Twin Lakes, Idaho, in the scenic Sawtooth Wilderness Area. These lakes were formed by glaciers high in the mountain cirques. The small granitic watersheds of these lakes yield few nutrients, and the lakes are consequently unproductive (oligotrophic). Photo, October 2003.
