Blacktail Ponds Spring Creek, Teton National Park, Wyoming
A large spring creek, Blacktail Ponds, flows out of the alluvial gravels in the Snake River Valley. The Teton Mountains are scene in the distance in the wide angle iPhone photo. The creek contains large rainbow trout. Spring creeks are known for growing large fish, in part because of more stable temperatures and substrates. Beaver and moose inhabit these wetlands.
