(Photo credit: Rob Condon) Very little is known about the role of jellyfish in food webs but several studies suggest that jellyfish such as the Lion's Mane jellyfish (Cyanea annaskala) may be important prey for fish and turtles and also facilitate commercial fish recruitment by protecting juvenile fish from predation.
