      Tintinnid Ciliates from the plankton of the Amundsen Sea Antarctica

      Tintinids are grazers, feeding on phytoplankton. A. Codonellopsis gaussi, B. Cymatocylis drygalski, C. Laackmanniella prolongata, D. Amphorelopsis quinquealata, E. Salpingella faurei, F. Codonella pusilla. The species A->D are all 'penguins' species only found in the Southern Ocean. From samples collected from both open water and polynya stations by Eun Jin Yang.
