An exotic strain of phragmites as invaded the wetlands on the shores of the Great Salt Lake and causing extensive damage to the playas and diked wetlands. Here, on the Inland Sea Shorebird Reserve, managers strive to keep ponds salty enough to restrict the spread of the invasive plant.
