Hybrid striped bass (wiper) from the Great Salt Lake
      next

The hybrid striped bass, or “wiper,” is an artificial cross between a striped bass (Morone saxatilis) and a white bass (Morone chrysops). This one was caught in a trap net in the Willard Spur area of Bear River Bay, located in the NE portion of the Great Salt Lake. Salinity at the site was approximately 4 g/L. This hybrid is abundant in Willard Bay Reservoir which, at times, drains into Bear River Bay, and thus is the likely source of this introduced species.
