Rio San Lorenzo y Serranías de Calilegua, Jujuy. It drains from the rainforest of Parque National Calilegua. The park was donated by owners of large sugar cane plantations in the lowlands to protect their water source. A sugar cane field is visible in the lower left of the photo, and water has already been diverted from the river and put in canals to irrigate the extensive plantations near the city of Libertador General San Martín.


El Rio San Lorenzo drena desde la selva del Parque Nacional Calilegua. El parque fue donado por los propietarios de grandes plantaciones de caña de azúcar en las tierras bajas para proteger su fuente de agua. Un campo de caña de azúcar es visible en la parte inferior izquierda de la foto, y el agua ya ha sido desviada del río y poner en canales para el riego de las extensas plantaciones cerca de la ciudad de Libertador General San Martín.
