An evening view of beautiful Lower Hansen Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains, Idaho. The lake is perched high above the Yellow Belly Creek valley. Researchers from Utah State University and the University of Wyoming were studying it to assess how steams and lakes interact to influence nutrient transport and ecosystem function.
