I think this may be the freshwater Bryozoan, Pectinatella magnifica. The colony was found in a shallow, lake (Moore Lake) that's along the course of the Amable du Fond River in Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada (N46 17.498 W78 52.961).
