Sampling zooplankton in Bear Lake (Utah/Idaho, USA) with a 50-L Schindler-Patalas plankton trap. The trap is lowered to the desired sampling depth in the lake and the swinging doors automatically close. The trap is brought to the surface and emptied through the attached netting to concentrate the zooplankton.
