Some of the multi-layer sediments of the Snake River Valley are clearly exposed by recent bank erosion of the Snake River. Note the different sized sediments that were deposited during different flood events in the geological past.

The bank is along the Pacific Creek to Deadman's Bar float on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park.
