Smoke bellows from the smokestack of the Kennecott smelter on the shores of the Great Salt Lake (Utah). Kennecott processes copper, gold, iron and other metals. In the background you can see Stansbury Island, and beyond that, the smoke plume from the Magnesium Corporation of America.
