On a windy October morning, waterfowl hunters set out their decoys on the vast expanse of Bear River Bay, in the NE part of the Great Salt Lake. This shallow bay provides habitat for tens of thousands waterfowl and wading migratory birds. Development of commercially valuable salt ponds in the bay threatens the area.
