Heterotrophic dinoflagellate, Gyrodinium sp., with large diatom cell ingested. Collected in diatom bloom at 10 m depth July 2003 off the Oregon Coast (Five Mile line), slope station, 10.7 ug Chl-a/liter. Lugol fixed/light microscopy. Heterotrophic dinoflagellates composed 70% of total microzooplankton biomass at this station.
