An aerial view of Stansbury Island and Gilbert Bay of the Great Salt Lake. Antelope Island is in the foreground. To the right and back of Stansbury Island are salt ponds (solar evaporation ponds)of the Magnesium Corporation of America. The water in Gilbert Bay (currently 16% salt) is fed to these ponds, evaporated, and magnesium and other salts are harvested.
