Sunset over salt ponds in the Bear River Bay of the Great Salt Lake. Promontory Point is in the center of the photo, and the north arm of the Great Salt Lake (Gunnison Bay)is in the background. The railway causeway dividing the lake is also visible.
Further development of salt ponds in shallow Bear River Bay threatens wildlife habitat.
