Collecting Aquatic Insects with a Surber Sampler

A student collects aquatic insects in the Little Bear River (Utah) with a Surber sampler. The 1 square foot frame of the net is placed on the stream bottom, and rocks are individually rubbed to dislodge the insects that then flow back into the net.
