Waccamaw Lake in North Carolina, U.S.A. This is a bay type lake. This lake is unusual in having high pH and alkalinity, and endemic fauna, including fish and invertebrates. It has an oval shape. Photo from old ASLO slide collection taken by D.F. Brakke; scanned by K.L. Schulz.
