Lago de Valencia, in north central Venezuela. This lake is the largest lake in Venezuela and was formed by faulting and damming of the Valencia River. Among other things it is being studied for anthropogenic effects of eutrophication and salinization. Photo from old ASLO slide collection; taken by M. Brenner; scanned by K.L. Schulz.
