Ice-rich Bluff during High Sea

This is a high, ice-rich bluff west of Cape Halkett on the Beaufort Sea in Alaska in early September 2007. We surveyed this bluff in July and the sea level appeared to be notably lower, and the bluff form more sloping. Here it appears that higher sea levels possibly related to the distant ice pack have helped truncate and thermally niche-erode this bluff.
