In the heart of downtown St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, the predominant home of St. John's' nightlife is George Street. Closed to traffic all evening and most of the business day to make way for pedestrian bar goers. It has the most pubs per square foot of any street in North America.  Night clubs line the cobblestones of George Street. Old world pubs lie tucked away on side streets and lanes. Indoor and outdoor concerts. Irish, country, dance, rock and roll and traditional music fills the streets.  The people here are legendary for their entertainment. After all, they've been entertaining people for the last 500 years.
