Student Presentation Awards
ASLO Outstanding Student Presentation Awards
Awards will be given for the most outstanding posters and talks presented by students at the 2010 joint summer meeting. To be eligible, a student must be a member of ASLO and first author on research that has not been presented previously at other scientific meetings. Presentations will be judged on the basis of innovation/scientific insight, quality of experimental design/methods, and clarity/effectiveness of presentation. There is no need to apply; all eligible presentations will be evaluated in consideration for the awards.
NABS Outstanding Student Presentation Awards
NABS will give the following awards to students who give outstanding presentations at this meeting. To be eligible, a student must be a member of NABS and first author on research that has not been presented previously at other scientific meetings. Presentations will be judged on the basis of innovation/scientific insight, quality of experimental design/methods, and clarity/effectiveness of presentation. There is no need to apply; all eligible presentations will be evaluated in consideration for the awards.
- Award 1 – Best Oral Presentation (Basic Research): $400 plus $200 toward registration costs for the 2011 meeting and one book
- Award 2 – Runner-up Oral Presentation (Basic Research): $250 book certificate plus $200 toward registration costs for the 2011 meeting
- Award 3 - Best Oral Presentation (Applied Research): $400 plus $200 toward registration costs for the 2011 meeting and one book
- Award 4 - Runner-up Oral Presentation (Basic Research): $250 book certificate plus $200 toward registration costs for the 2011 meeting
- Award 5 - Best Poster Presentation (Basic Research): $250 plus $200 toward registration costs for the 2011 meeting and one book
- Award 6 - Best Poster Presentation (Applied Research): $250 plus $200 toward registration costs for the 2011 meeting and one book
- Award 7 – Best Methodology Presentation (Oral or Poster): $250 plus $200 toward registration costs for the 2011 meeting and one book
