Graduate Student Assistant, Marine Microbial Ecology
Seeking graduate students with molecular and bioinformatics
experience. Of particular interest are those familiar with
different ‘omics’ techniques. Using novel, cutting-edge
molecular techniques, the Mason Lab, in the Department of
Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science at Florida State
University is interested in understanding how microbial
communities respond to perturbations in the environment,
such as the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and in understanding
the impact of this response in terms of biogeochemical cycling
and ecosystem function.
Applications for the graduate program in Oceanography at
Florida State University are due by mid-February for Fall 2013
