Student Opportunity Announcements
PhD Opportunity, Stream Ecosystem Ecology
I wish to recruit a PhD student to develop an independent
project associated with funded research examining the role of
log jams on stream processes (geomorphology, ecosystem
metabolism, nitrogen cycling, secondary production, cutthroat
trout production/populations, etc.) and whole stream
networks in the Rocky Mountains in Northern Colorado. This
project is a collaboration with Ellen Wohl (Colorado State),
David Walters (USGS), and Geoff Poole (Montana State).
Research interests and expertise should include ecosystem
ecology and hydrology; dissertation research that extends
among the above research areas would be welcome.
Interested students should email a letter of interest and CV to
Robert Hall, Department of Zoology and Physiology and
Program in Ecology, University of Wyoming. Email is
bhall@uwyo.edu. More information on the UW Program in
Ecology is at www.uwyo.edu/pie. Start date is May 2013.
