Burroughs & Chapin Research Scholars
The Burroughs & Chapin Center for Marine and Wetland Studies at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for three Burroughs & Chapin Research Scholar post-doctoral research scientist positions in areas related to ongoing and developing Center research programs. These areas include: coastal processes, coastal geology/geophysics, watershed science/ water quality/hydrology, coastal meteorological/climate modeling or other areas of active research in the Center. The positions are the result of a unique collaboration between Coastal Carolina University and the Burroughs & Chapin Company. Each position will be supported for a three-year term, with extension for an additional three years contingent on external funding and performance. One position will start on July 1, 2008 and the other two will start on January 1, 2009. Successful candidates will possess demonstrated potential to contribute to the scholarly activities of the institution, including peer-reviewed publications and grant proposals related to existing programs.
