CMOP offers paid summer internships through NSF's Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program. Students with a background in biology, chemistry, environmental science, computer science, math, physics, or
engineering are encouraged to apply.
CMOP is an NSF Science and Technology Center, conducting interdisciplinary research to achieve a better understanding of physical, chemical, and biological processes regulating river-to-ocean ecosystems
CMOP is a mult-institutional entity hosted at Oregon Health & Science University’s School of Science and Engineering in Beaverton, Oregon. Oregon State University and University of Washington are also lead partners.
Interns will conduct research under senior scientists, conduct fieldwork on research cruises in the Columbia River, and will gain significant technical writing and data preparation experience.
CMOP internships are located in Beaverton, Oregon, at the OGI School of Science & Engineering at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis -- earlier applications are more competitive.
