Lectureship in Marine Biology
Employment type: Full-time Continuing
Salary: $72,414-$85,990 AUD p.a. (Lecturer Level B) or
$90,480-$104,329 AUD p.a. (Senior Lecturer Level C) plus
employer superannuation contributions of 17%. Level of
appointment is subject to qualifications and experience.
You will be expected to initiate and maintain an active
research program that will attract postgraduate students,
international exchanges and external research funding from
national and competitive research bodies and will have the
ability or potential to collaborate with industry. In addition to
participating in general undergraduate biology teaching, you
will contribute to specialised higher-level undergraduate and
postgraduate courses including those in marine biology.
You will have a PhD or equivalent qualifications and
experience, and a reputation for innovative and productive
research in some branch of the biology of marine animals. We
are seeking a person whose research interests complement
those of the Marine Biology group and one or more of the
other research groups within the Department (Animal
Behaviour and Evolution, Conservation and Climate Change,
Reproduction and Regeneration).
In addition to the above you will have excellent teaching
skills, a commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate
course development and the ability to supervise and inspire
the research of honours and postgraduate students.
