Oceanography/Marine Biology - Coral Reefs
Global Science & Technology, Inc. is currently accepting resumes for three full-time positions in Oceanography/Marine Biology focusing on Coral Reefs.

All three positions require a background in physical and biological oceanography, coral reef ecosystem processes & knowledge of theory and applications of infrared and multi-spectral remote sensing. Position requirements are:
Chief Programmer (Sr. Scientist/Oceanographer) Use and interpretation of satellite infrared and visible data and in development of remote sensing products/applications in a research-to-operations setting required. Working knowledge of IDL and/or PV-Wave, FORTRAN and/or C, ARC/INFO, ARCView, Perl, databases, HTML, JavaScript, Photoshop, and web-based tools in UNIX and Windows environments.
Product Developer (Scientist/Marine Biologist/Analyst) UNIX & Windows experience required. Experience with IDL and/or PV-Wave, FORTRAN and/or C, HTML, Perl, and JavaScript. Exp. in use of map servers, a mainstream GIS system (ARC/INFO…) and web based tools desirable. Experience with use and interpretation of satellite infrared and visible data and in development of remote sensing products/apps helpful. Experience with databases and graphics programs useful. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Operations Manager (Scientist/Marine Biologist/Analyst) Exp. with use and interpretation of satellite infrared and visible data and in development of remote sensing products/applications required. Working knowledge of one or more: IDL, MATLAB, FORTRAN and/or C/C++, statistical and numerical package such as Origin 6.1, and HTML. Strong oral and written communication skills and administrative exp. required.
